Tasmanian Devil cartoon

The Tasmanian Devil, also known as Taz, is a cartoon character on Warner Bros. from the series "Crazy Drawings" and "Funny Melodies". In fact, Taz is drawn by the model of the true Tasmanian devil, a rare species of animal living in Tasmania. He is well known to children as a character with a huge mouth and appetite, swallowing almost everything in its path, and as a whirling whirlwind as it moves.

Warner Brothers have agreed to use the image of their mad Tasmanian devil Taz and other Looney Tunes cartoon characters in the Australian authorities' campaign to save the endangered Tasmanian devils.

ΠΆhe Tasmanian devil (Sarcophilus laniarius) is a mammal of the marsupial family and the only species in the genus Sarcophilus. In 1941, when the devils were on the verge of extinction again, a strict law was passed in Australia to protect the rare species.
