The Flinstones cartoon
The Flintstones is an American animated series created by William Hannah and Joseph Barbera and produced by their Hannah-Barbera studio. The show aired on the ABC between 1960 and 1966 and was the first animated series in prime-time television. The series takes place in the Stone Age and describes the life of the cave family of the working class Flintstone and their neighbors the Rubel family.
Yaba-daba-duu! ”- there is no person in the world, a child or adult who has not heard this cry and does not know who it is. There is no person in the world who has not had genuine fun with the cult families of Flintstone and Rabble. They have unforgettable humorous stories, as well as interesting primitive amenities and "technologies". At the beginning of the project, in 1959, William Hannah decided to make a family-style series, but with Joseph Barbera they did not agree on the costumes of the characters. Suddenly, Hannah gets insight and offers the "cave" concept of the series, in which the characters do not wear any clothes except animal skins. This puts everything in place and creates the most recognizable car in the animation, different with the complete lack of floors and its foot drive.
Interestingly, Fred Flintstone's exclamation was originally intended to be "Yahooooo." During the work, however, Alan Reed, who voices the character, says that this exclamation sounds too ordinary to him and while improvising he invents Fred's trademark - "Yaba-daba-duu".
