"The Mysteries of Sylvester and Tweety " is an American animated serial that aired from 1995 to 2000 on Kids' WB and then went back to Cartoon Network. It features the characters of "Crazy Drawings" - the cat Sylvester and the canary Tweety, along with their owner Baba and the Mastiff (often confused with a bulldog) Hector (who appears in two films from 1952 with Tweety, Sylvester and Baba, but in the series, its design is similar to that of Mark Anthony), who solve puzzles, even with Sylvester, who still tries to eat Tweety in the middle of resolving each case, but Hector acts as the canary's bodyguard and even beats Sylvester (usually in the dark or out of frame). The entire first season is dedicated to Fritz Freleng, who died a few months before its premiere. It is characteristic of him that all 13 of his episodes are single, unlike those in the other seasons, which have two cases each. Also, the series successfully manages to capture the spirit of the original movies.
Other characters from "Crazy Drawings" who appear in the series are Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam, Gossamer, Hubby and Bertie, the Witch Hazel, the Tasmanian Devil, Hippie Hopper, Duffy Duck, Michigan Jay Frog, Pepe Le Puy, Count Lev, Speedy Gonzalez, Beekey, Cat's Foot, Ducky Wise, Rocky and Muggy, Marvin the Martian and Cool Cat, who appears in all episodes in a different form and even in one episode, Tweety commented on his surprising appearance: "You know we had to include him in the movie. "
The series has been repeatedly nominated for an Emmy Award in the animation categories. Actress June Forey won the Annie Award for her role as Grandma. The last episode was never aired on Kids' WB but aired on Cartoon Network in 2002.
