Dexter's Laboratory characters
Dexter is a little genius who works on research projects in an extremely well-equipped secret laboratory. He applies a rigorous and systematic scientific approach to his research work, as well as to his daily duties as a student and child. But his activities are often interrupted by his sister Dee Dee, a fan of unicorns, ballet, plush toys, and pink. Dexter tries to restrict access to his secret laboratory and invents all sorts of passwords and codes, which Dee Dee intuitively guesses.
Typical of the Dexter Lab is the open end and rather the lack of a happy ending. The characters do not always find a solution to their problems, and sometimes even aggravate them.
Cartoon characters :
1. Dexter is a little genius who likes to spend time in his secret laboratory. He loves the exact sciences and invents things like the cloning machine for living things, huge robots, special substances, and more. He is extremely smart, but does not have many friends and does not have good communication skills. In his room, there is a large library with a lot of scientific literature.
2. Dee Dee Dexter's sister, dressed as a ballerina, in pink, loves plush toys, ballet, unicorns, flowers and invites her friends with whom she dances ballet and invents games. In her room, there are numerous small buildings, most often in pink colors or with floral motifs. Her favorite pastime is bothering her brother.
3.The mother and father are present in the episodes but are unable to notice anything. They are reminiscent of robots that handle a limited number of lines, such as "Children, come to dinner!" Or "Children, it's time to go to bed!". It's amazing how they didn't reveal the secret lab.
Relations between the characters :
Dexter is annoyed by Dee's reckless and naive behavior. He doesn't understand her interests, he doesn't understand why she wants to "play" together - for him the most interesting thing is the work in the laboratory. Dee Dee, on the other hand, is not at all interested in exact sciences, but in games and toys that are "sweet" in one way or another. It is important for her to communicate with others, which is why she often visits the laboratory, sometimes even with friends. There she damages some of Dexter's ingenious inventions, but never worries about it. Dexter is obsessed with his inventions, and when they happen to be damaged, he quickly becomes angry and angry, raising his voice. Of course, he loves his sister Dee Dee, but he is unable to express his feelings for her. These relationships between the two so different characters underlie the film. It happens that Dee Dee gets into trouble and then Dexter saves her with the help of his inventions. Over the course of the episodes, it becomes clear that Dee Dee has some intelligence, as well as communicates more easily and in certain situations does better than the genius Dexter.
