Maya the Bee cartoon

Ferdy is not the only insect that has gained worldwide popularity among the children. For the first time, the bee Maya flutters her wings in the book by the German Waldemar Bonsels, which was published more than 100 years ago.That's why Maya is known to us from the series, created by nimble Japanese animators in the mid-seventies. In it we see how the freedom-loving and whirling bee commits a serious crime, leaving its hive. She wanders in exile with the annoying grumble Willie, who is naturally lazy, clumsy, and sometimes jealous, but generally a good-natured drone. Another important person is the grasshopper Flip, who gives wise advice and tone in Maya's life as she gradually transforms from a hyperactive and rebellious walker into a responsible and trustworthy member of the bee community.
Maya is a curious, responsive, and very freedom-loving bee with a taste for true friendships and justice. He considers laziness to be "exhausting work" and often reproaches his friend Willie for his (sweet!) laziness. Unlike other hard-working bees, Maya lives in the meadow, not in the hive, and sleeps in a flower under the eyes of the stars!
